One technique used when 3D printing is called vase mode, where the print head continuously spirals up instead of jumping around. This, alongside the right choice in material can result in quite fragile, but interesting looking models, like you can see here. While this vase is not waterproof, it still could work great vase to hold fake flowers, Orbeez, or anything else a vase could hold. Its intricate design is also not replicable using normal glass.
